Jeffrey C. Kossol, OD

Dr. Kossol holds a B.S. degree in Biological Science from The University of Pittsburgh and a B.S. degree in Visual Science from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. From there he worked towards a master’s degree in Genetics from California State College and then went on to graduate PCO with a Doctorate in Optometry in 1981. He has been in private practice since 1981.

Dr. Kossol was trained in primary eye care. He does comprehensive eye examinations which include the refraction (determination of the prescription), binocular vision and focusing evaluation, and a thorough ocular health check. The office has specialized state of the art instrumentation. He is licensed to prescribe medications for eye infections or allergies and treats most eye injuries and diseases. When appropriate, Dr. Kossol sends referrals to primary care physicians or specialists to treat systemic conditions detected during the eye exam, or to eye surgeons for treatment of eye disease or surgery.

Our office accepts donations of used glasses which can be distributed abroad for the less fortunate which Dr. kossol has done on various mission trips.

Our Staff

Sue Kossol

Work Experience: Sue has been into the Optical field for the last 20 years and now joined her husband 8 years ago in the Palo Cedro office to assist in building the new practice. Sue is our office Manager and our Fashion Stylist in our optical boutique, making sure it looks, fits and meets all of our patients optical needs. She loves to make sure our patients have a great experience from start to finish.

Personal: Native to California. Loves Palo Cedro and the heat it offers. Sue enjoys skiing, entertaining, singing at church, walking their dog CC, community involvement (Palo Cedro Christmas Celebration), and gardening. Her favorite thing is visiting her three children, Gabe, Lindsey, and Jessica plus their daughter in law Krista.

Susie Kirch

Work Experience: Susie made a change from the field of Dermatology working as medical assistant to becoming an Optician for Dr. Kossol in the last 3 years. It has been a fun and rewarding career change for her. She has a natural knack for making our patients feel comfortable and at ease when they walk into our office for their Annual Eye Health Exam. Susie offers warmth that’s unforgettable with hopes of making our patients experience enjoyable.

Personal: She enjoys working in her yard, gardening with a bit of landscaping. Susie took up archery and enjoys the sport with her husband Fred, of 35 years , and her son’s Marty and Clint. She is now an official bow hunter looking forward to the hunt instead of being the camp cook.

Pat Price

Work Experience: Pat has been with our practice going on 4 years. Her background offers 25 yrs. Experience in front office work. Pat is the front office manager and is multi-tasked in her job and offers a warm personal greeting guiding our patients into our office.

Personal: Pats greatest joy is going to Oregon to visit her grandchildren, Jake, Brittany, and daughter Becky with husband Bob. She also enjoys going to San Luis Obismo to see her son Steve. Pat loves the position at the office and looks forward to greeting each new patient as well as our returning patients as they arrive for their appointments.

Some hobbies are reading, knitting, as well as playing on the computer in her spare time.

Shelly Dickson

Work Experience: Shelly has been with Dr. Kossol’s office for 3 years and is enthusiastic about work and starting a new career in the Optical field. Shelly is one of three opticians in our office and is cross trained in just about every area. She jokingly refers to herself as the “Girl Friday.” Her personality lights the room up making our patients feel right at home.

Personal: Shelly loves cooking and barbequing with friends and family (with the assistance of her sous-chef/husband, Matt). Enjoys music, reading, walking her rambunctious dog Murphy, gardening, and spa time after a long day! Shelly’s favorite past-time of all is watching her daughter, Rachel, and her son, Tommy, play softball/baseball and soccer!

Linda Trisciuzzi

Work Experience: Linda has been with our practice for over 4 years. As our bookkeeper, she is our Account manager and oversees all accounts receivables. As our medical biller, she submits your claims for you and may be able to answer almost any question you might have regarding your insurance. She is always willing to help in any way possible.

Personal: Linda’s family lives in Hawaii, so she and her husband enjoy visiting the islands especially the north Shore of Oahu. They enjoy hiking, leisure drives through the North State. Avid watchers of American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, while their little 140 lb Rottweiler, Nanook, snores through it all.

Stacy Larsen

Work Experience: Stacy was previously an Optician for 7 years in Southern California before moving her family here to beautiful Palo Cedro. Stacy has joined our staff with her friendly attitude within the last year. Stacy is part of the optician team and does a variety of jobs in the office. She also is our Friday girl being available to repair, dispense and make appointments if needed.

Personal: When she is not working she spends time watching her two boys Jake and Chase play baseball for local traveling teams. Stacy along with her husband Mark enjoy the great outdoors that Northern California has to offer.
